This article discuss the Payment policy that is based on the Pilvi™ Credit System.

To be able to purchase or run services in Pilvi, a user must transfer funds to Pilvi.  Funds are named Credits which equal USDs 1-to-1. (1 Credit equals to 1 USD). The cloud services managed in Pilvi are payed for with Credits transferred to Pilvi in advance.

Credits are purchased with Credit / Debit card (Visa Credit/Debit, Mastercard). We use Nets as our Payment provider. We do not store payment card information on our servers.

All the prices and costs shown in Pilvi are VAT 0 %. When purchasing Credits, VAT may be added when applicable. Tax regulations vary depending on the user’s country of origin. Below you will find some examples:

Example 1: A Finnish customer (whether an Individual or a Company) purchases Credits to Pilvi.

A Finnish Customer wants to buy 100 Credits to Pilvi (100 Credits equal 100 USD). Because of the Finnish Tax Regulation VAT (24 % in Finland) must be added. Thus, the total amount charged is USD 124 (USD 100 + VAT 24 %).  

Example 2: An Individual Customer from outside Finland purchases Credits to Pilvi.

An Individual Customer from outside Finland wants to buy 100 Credits to Pilvi (100 Credits equal 100 USD). Because of the Tax Regulations VAT (the percentage depends on the country of origin) must be added. Thus, the total amount of charge is USD 100 + VAT.

Example 3: A Company Customer from outside Finland purchases Credits to Pilvi.

A Company Customer from outside Finland wants to buy 100 Credits to Pilvi (100 Credits equal 100 USD). This trade is outside VAT Regulations, so the total amount of charge is USD 100.
