What is 2-step authentication?
In addition to a password, 2-step authentication protects your account with your smart phone. After enabling 2-step authentication, the login process always asks you for a disposable code generated by the Authenticator App on your smart phone. This prevents outsiders from logging in to your Pilvi Account even if they have the username and password of your Pilvi Account.
We strongly recommend using 2-step authentication this improves the security of your Pilvi Account considerably!
This guide shows you how to activate 2-step authentication with your Pilvi Account.
1. Download an Authenticator App to your smartphone (available for every smart phone)
2. Login your Pilvi Account
3. Click ‘User‘ and select ‘Settings‘
4. Click ‘Enable 2-step authentication‘
5. Open the Authenticator App on your smart phone and read the QR-code on your screen
6. To activate the 2-step authenticaton, fill in the the code shown on the Authenticator App
7. After activating the 2-step authentication, the login process always asks for the disposable code created by the Authenticator App on your smart phone.
