Skyhood has chosen Amazon Web Services (AWS) as the hosting solution for its web services. Scalable infrastructure with an on-demand pricing model has offered the best solution to host web services with great online traffic. However, Skyhood has faced some major problems in managing cloud services with Amazon Console. “The lack of a consolidated billing monitor and the impractically located monitoring features caused us some inconvenience”, commented Mr. Markus Törnqvist, Co-founder and CTO of Skyhood.
Skyhood started using Pilvi in January 2014 with its current cloud services on AWS. The deployment of Pilvi was carried out by linking Skyhoods current cloud services to Pilvi without any additional configuration changes to the services. So far, Skyhood has used Pilvi mainly for cost-reporting purposes.
